Users

The Users Summary Page:
This page provides an at-a-glance listing of all users in your database that can be targeted to receive personalized landing pages through Dynamic URL assignments. (Not shown: When the database is large, a “pager” appears which loads users in blocks, rather than loading the entire database on one page.)

Users can be quickly referenced through the following data elements in their records:
DYNAMIC URLS ID – this is the address that is appended to the root URL. The DEFAULT follows a format of Firstname_Lastname and should always be the format used when preparing a direct mail campaign mail merge list. The OTHER formats like Firstname.Lastname or Firstname_Lastname.html should only be used if you have a specific reason to do so and if you know what you are doing.
• Name – The user’s name
• Email – the user’s email address
• Address – The first part of their mailing address
• Address2 – The second part of their mailing address
• City – Their city
Each column in the user list can be sorted alphabetically either ascending or descending by clicking on the A/Z icon at the top of the column.

Further, you can ADD, EDIT and DELETE users from this page

Adding a user:
New users can be individually added by clicking on the large green PLUS button in the top right of the screen. Alternately, the “Add New User” link in the top left can be clicked. There are also two ways to “Mass Import” users into the software, which will be covered in later sections.

Editing a user:
Existing user can be edited by either clicking on the User’s Dynamic URLS ID in the appropriate left column, or the pencil icon in the far right column.

Viewing and/or Deleting Large Quantities of User Records:
When you have more than 100 names, the software turns on a paging function and you can view or delete names in sequences of 100 records at a time. You can review or delete ALL names by clicking the link entitled “Turn Off Paging”, and continuing to work with the various features as usual.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no way to recover a deleted user! All details associated with a user are also deleted – including reporting and tracking, emails – everything! Do so at your own risk.
